Testing Case | In Situ Variable-Temperature Testing of CsCl and Au

I. Experimental Equipment and Software:

· GoGo Instruments Sample-Adjustable Ultra-High-Temperature Heating Stage H1400-XY

· CCD Microscopy System

· New Temperature Control and Visualization Software 【GoGoVIEW】


II. Experimental Objective:
This experiment utilized user-provided standard samples, along with the aforementioned equipment and software, to perform temperature calibration of the heating stage.

III. Samples:
Representative samples of CsCl (Cesium Chloride) and Au (Gold) were selected.

IV. Temperature Measurement Process:
1. CsCl:
· Rapid heating to 550°C.

· As the sample approached its melting point, the heating rate was reduced to 5°C/min until complete melting occurred.

2. Au:
· Rapid heating to 900°C.
· As the sample approached its melting point, the heating rate was reduced to 5°C/min until complete melting occurred.

V. Experimental Results:

CsCl: Initial melting temperature observed at 634°C; complete melting at 648°C.

Au: Initial melting temperature observed at 1061°C; complete melting at 1065°C.

The deviation between tested values and theoretical values falls within an acceptable range, verifying the accuracy of the equipment’s temperature control.


Sample-Adjustable Ultra-High-Temperature Heating Stage H1400-XY

Design Features: The H1400-XY Ultra-High-Temperature Heating Stage is an experimental device capable of reaching temperatures up to 1400°C. It is equipped with a sample displacement mechanism allowing ±5mm movement in the XY directions. By shifting the sample from the heating zone to a low-temperature platform, rapid quenching/heating functionality is achieved (depending on the direction of movement).

1. Enables precise sample displacement of ±5mm along the XY axes.
2. Temperature Range: Room temperature (RT) to 1400°C.
