On-Site Delivery | GoGo Instruments at Shanghai Synchrotron Radiation Facility (SSRF)
Recently, GoGo Instruments delivered products for a team from Shanghai Jiao Tong University. Our team went to the Shanghai Synchrotron Radiation Facility (SSRF) for equipment installation, debugging, and participated in the cross-disciplinary team setup, observing radiation-induced changes in technical materials. This article compiles data related to SSRF, ensuring the outcomes are validated through extensive equipment and beamline experiments.
Operated by the Shanghai Advanced Research Institute (SARI) of the Chinese Academy of Sciences, the SSRF scientific center focuses on open access, key technology development, and scientific research as its primary missions. It is responsible for operating the national major science and technology infrastructure—the Shanghai Synchrotron Radiation Facility and the Shanghai High Repetition Rate XFEL and Extreme Light Facility (SHINE)—while also undertaking accelerator construction tasks for free-electron laser facilities.

Early morning, the GoGo Instruments team gathers at the SSRF entrance
Equipment installed at the X-ray diffraction workstation
Time to get to work! General Manager and Engineer Luo Zhuan install the GoGo custom high-temperature furnace on the beamline platform.
Successfully installed
Beginning alignment work to ensure the beam passes through the reserved window of the furnace
Using upper-computer software for remote control of temperature ramp, with rates exceeding 1000°C/min
X-ray beam activated, irradiating the sample inside the furnace and observing the diffraction pattern
Diffraction pattern of the metal sample at its highest temperature (partial)
Diffraction pattern of the metal sample during initial melting (eutectic alloy)
Diffraction pattern of the metal sample during initial melting (liquid state)
Thus, GoGo successfully completed the equipment testing and acceptance process. We look forward to subsequent user feedback and further collaboration on scientific research projects.
